This week was the anniversary of Emily's diagnosis and surgery. It's like a second birthday; you know, like the Queen has. We celebrate it because we very nearly lost her that day (and several times over the next few weeks). It's just a chance to be grateful really.

Originally this blog was all about my youngest child Emily, who was born with a rare congenital heart defect called ALCAPA. It began as a means of putting her story down on 'paper'. That part begins here but as often happens I went off on a tangent...............

What a lovely set of photos. Emily you give me hope that Caitlyn will grow up to do all the great things you have done and hopefully one day you will inspire her to have a go no matter what x
